Sicily Walking Tour - Exploring the Crossroads of the Mediterranean
Sicily is one of the most fascinating areas to explore in all of Italy. Its central location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean attracted a series of invaders, including the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, and Bourbons, creating a land rich in history and diverse in culture. From ancient Greek temples to Byzantine and Baroque architecture, natural parks to historic port cities to island hopping in the Aeolian islands, scenic beaches to volcanoes, there is plenty to discover on our daily explorations. A multicultural cuisine in a land rich in fresh produce and seafood to enjoy with the indigenous wines, as local producers from Etna and other wine regions gain increasing importance in the international wine scene. A visit to Sicily is an opportunity to experience a different culture every day - all under a sunny Mediterranean sky.
